Wanda dreamwalks, breaks rules, breaks people, shreds some of the most beloved Marvel characters apart and she won't stop till she gets what she wants. After the events of WandaVision, she possesses the Darkhold or maybe it possesses her as the ancient book of spells begins to corrupt her. The character, now fully transformed into the Scarlet Witch, seeks America's multiverse-hopping abilities to get her heart's greatest desire - her twin sons Tommy and Billy. Strange goes to Wanda for help, assuming a powerful witch is his best shot, but guess who wants America's powers for herself and sends those nasty monsters after the girl in the first place? No points for guessing, it's Wanda. Young Chavez is in some kind of danger as monsters chase her across the streets of New York where Strange first meets her.
Joining him is MCU newcomer America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) who has the power to create star-shaped portals and traverse the multiverse through them. Doctor Strange who presumably returns to normal life (whatever that means) is tasked with fixing a multiverse problem, the problem being that it is broken thanks to his spell. The mind-bending Marvel film picks up a little after the events of No Way Home. Before we dive into the deep end, a brief run-through of the film's main events is always a good idea.

Thus, it's not hard to theorize that all of these visions were not of her actual mother, but the soggy woman's spirit using her as a disguise in order to cause more pain and suffering through Mia. This progresses along with her visions of Rhea, as the mother's spirit looks more and more damp and muddy. On top of this, the Philippous add another layer of mystery, involving Mia seeing and hearing further glimpses of the soggy woman from her initial encounter with the hand. Seeing her father attempt to attack her (which the Philippous make sure to show he's not actually doing), she kills him instead. The biggest red flag comes when her father confesses that Rhea did indeed commit suicide, even going so far as to leave a note, an explanation that Mia not only rejects but begins to twist into her father covering up for his murder of Rhea. Like any great horror film, "Talk to Me" revels in this ambiguity, as it's possible Mia may be more right than wrong.
